Modest Mouse formed in 1993 in Issaquah, Washington and has become, over the past two decades, the indie rock gold standard: One of the few bands capable of achieving massive popularity without sacrificing their longtime fans. The founding members are lead singer/guitarist Isaac Brock, drummer Jeremiah Green, and bassist Eric Judy. Strongly influenced by groups Pavement, the Pixies, XTC, and Talking Heads
‘Strangers to Ourselves’ has earned accolades in Entertainment Weekly, Rolling Stone, Time Magazine, NME, USA Today, and more. Modest Mouse were also the first band to perform for the launch of The Late Late Show with James Corden, when they performed “Be Brave.”
Modest Mouse has made a name for themselves in the American Rock world with hits such as “Float On,” and “The Ocean Breathes Salty” off their 2004 album ‘Good News For People Who Love Bad News.’ The band’s first album to hit number 1 on the US Billboard 200 charts was ‘We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank’ released in 2007 with singles like “Dashboard,” “Missed the Boat” and “We’ve Got Everything.” Hear these tracks and more on Wednesday, May 9 at 8pm.
